Ivry Gitlis

I had the immense privilege to earn the Gitlis Prize in Paris in 2018.
After the concert Ivry came from the audience and we talked like if we were at home. I wanted to play for him a piece that I once wrote in the memory of my great-grandmother Dora Vaitsner. After I played, he told me that this Hebrew melody relates to all of us, all of our friends and all of our families which were gone. Now I realize that this piece will be for me forever related to you dearest Ivry.
Thank you for the heritage you left in the music world and also simply, in the world.
RIP
