“Without doubt: an exceptional talent!”
Neue Zürcher Zeitung

“Mark Bouchkov’s exceptionally powerful performance of the Sibelius Violin Concerto focused on the music’s sweep and majesty”
Bachtrack

“Bouchkov’s playing is a fascinating combination of perfect instrumental mastery and an uninhibited, imaginative, and impetuous artistic spirit. When he tells ‘stories’ on his violin, you are by definition hanging on his every word.”
Wenneke Savenije, De Nieuwe Muze

Bouchkov played this […] in an involving performance […] the level of energy and intensity went up a notch in the Adagio-Andante movement. There, the music stews in inner thoughts, and it was impressive that Bouchkov found the resources here to stoke the fire. He and Hoffman played Kodàly’s lines with relish […] Their engines burned hotter and hotter through the final movement, and the sheer dedicated force of their playing was affecting and satisfying. The spirit and commitment to joy remained superb.
