Star of the evening

The newspaper Rhein Main Presse published a review of the concert of November 13th with the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester Mainz written by Frank Wittmer:

“During the violin concerto Marc Bouchkov proved to be the star of the evening: a virtuoso who does not need to fish for effects or bet on narcissistic glitter. He plays with passion and combines musical energy with expressive gravity which leads to an unbelievable intensity of the interpretation. He pushes ahead freely and confidently with impetuous drive; he urges the orchestra to follow and spurs the musicians on to new hights.”
