Marc Bouchkov performs in Milano with the Orchestra Verdi on November 18, 19 and 21

Marc will perform with the Orchestra Verdi at the Auditorium di Milano on November 18, 19, and 21. Under the baton of Zhang Xian, the program includes a Violin Concerto by a composer far from the usual Euro-centrism: Joseph Boulogne, Chevalier de Saint-Georges, born in the then French colony of Guadaloupe, and educated in Paris. A virtuoso violinist and conductor of the symphony orchestra in Paris, nicknamed the “black Mozart” for his mulatto complexion, Boulogne distinguished himself for his extraordinary musical value in the second half of the eighteenth century. Marc will play his Concerto for Violin and orchestra n. 1 op. 5, in C major.
